1. Who we are

Premium Designs ("we", "us") is a web design and hosting business in Polokwane, South Africa. We are the responsible party for your personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA). Our Information Officer can be reached at hello@premiumdesigns.co.za.

2. What we collect

• Contact details: your name, email address and phone number.
• Order details: the services you buy, your domain name, and your payment history with us (amounts and dates, not card numbers).
• Domain registrant details: for domain registration, the name, address and contact details the domain registry requires.
• Project content: text, images and files you send us for your website or designs.
• Messages: what you send us on WhatsApp, by email or through our website.
• Technical data: our hosting servers keep standard logs (such as IP addresses and pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.

We don't collect special personal information (such as health or religious information), and our services aren't aimed at children.

3. Why we use it

• to set up and run your hosting, email, domain and website;
• to send you your login details, invoices and renewal reminders;
• to answer your questions and give you support;
• to keep our services secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
• to meet our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.

We use your information because it's needed to provide the services you asked for, to meet legal requirements, or for our legitimate interest in running a secure business. We'll only send you news or offers if you've agreed to it, and you can opt out any time.

4. Who we share it with

We only share what's needed, with:

• PayFast, to process your payments securely. Your card details go directly to PayFast and never reach us.
• Our hosting and domain partner (Webspacebar) and its data centre, which run the servers your website and email live on.
• Domain registries, such as the ZA Central Registry for .co.za domains, which require registrant details. Some of these details may appear in public domain (WHOIS) records, depending on the registry's rules.
• Authorities, only when the law requires it.

We never sell or rent your personal information. Some of our partners may store data on servers outside South Africa; where that happens, we rely on partners that protect information to a standard similar to POPIA.

5. How we protect it

We use SSL encryption on our website and checkout, strong passwords and restricted access to our systems, and keep order records on secured servers. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your information, we'll tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information while you're a client and for as long as the law requires after that (financial records are generally kept for 5 years). When you close your hosting account, its files and emails are deleted after the period described in our Terms.

7. Cookies

Our website doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. It loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts and jsDelivr, which receive your IP address in order to send those files to your browser. Our checkout and PayFast use the cookies needed to process your payment.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you can:

• ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
• ask us to correct or update it;
• ask us to delete it, unless we have to keep it by law or to provide an active service;
• object to us using it, including for marketing;
• complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
